How are documents attested for the UAE?

  • STEP 1 – The document will still need an apostille from the FCDO. This is a paper apostille added to the physical document. The UAE Embassy do not accept the e-apostille yet, as this secure file cannot be edited and further attestation added.
  • STEP 2 – We submit the physical document with the apostille attached to the embassy.
  • STEP 3 – They scan the document, making a PDF.
  • STEP 4 – The attestation is added to the scan of the document
  • STEP 5 – Attested documents are returned.
    • The attested scan is sent by email
    • The physical document, with the apostille attached, (no attestation on the physical document) is returned to you.

No. Vietnam joined the Hague Apostille Convention on 11 September 2026. UK documents now only need the FCDO apostille and they no longer have to be submitted to the Vietnamese Embassy in London. This makes legalisation both faster and cheaper.

We complete most orders in around 1 to 2 working days, plus the return delivery time you choose at checkout. Processing times are a guide and cannot be guaranteed.

Apostille only is £82.00 per document. Solicitor certification and apostille is £94.00 per document. For three or more documents these are discounted to £70.00 and £82.00 each. A bound set of documents with a single apostille is £130.00. All prices include FCDO fees, solicitor fees where applicable, and VAT.

Degrees, TEFL and other academic certificates, DBS checks, passports, driving licences and most company documents must be certified by a solicitor before the FCDO will issue an apostille. Birth, marriage and death certificates, ACRO checks, court documents and papers already signed by a solicitor or notary do not need certifying.

Teaching work permits usually call for a degree certificate, a TEFL qualification and a criminal record check, each carrying an apostille. Requirements vary by employer and province, so please check what is being asked for before you order.

Yes. Certificates of incorporation, certificates of good standing, memorandum and articles, board minutes, resolutions and other Companies House documents can all be apostilled. Where several company documents are used together we can bind them and issue one apostille for the set.

Vietnamese ministries and employers often ask for the apostilled document to be translated once it arrives in Vietnam, usually by an approved local translator. Please check what the receiving authority requires.
